Load Cell Model Rigging Training System
Designed for classroom instruction by an experienced rigger to demonstrate the effects of sling angle on sling tension and the loads on hardware. This kit also has everything you need to instruct, demonstrate and practice how a load cell can be used to determine the center of gravity and the expected vertical share of the load. The lightweight and portable model rigging kit comes with two digital load cells, a load box and two load weights as well as the following rigging components:
- 2 Lifting Lugs with Nuts
- 1 Medium Shackle with Screw Pin
- 4 Small Shackles with Screw Pins
- 2 Cribbing Blocks
- 1 Tape Measure with Level and Angle Guides
The Instructor’s Kit also comes with a USB drive containing an Instructors Guide, an Instructors Presentation and Student Worksheets with exercises and quizzes developed by industry experts covering:
- Tubular Loads with Basic Hitches
- I-Beam Loads with Basic Hitches
- Box Load with Bridle; and
- Rigging a Load with an Off-Center Center of Gravity
The Instructors Kit can be used on it’s own as a demonstrative tool or, more effectively, in tandem with Student Model Rigging Training Kits which would allow students to get hands-on experience. The Student Kit comes with everything above except the USB drive containing the curriculum materials.
Lifting arms with single-point hooks are available for an additional fee.
